A hybrid seminar organised by the Finnish Society of Forest Science

Open research data is an essential part of open science. Data openness makes the published research truly reproducible, reuse of valuable data may lower research costs and open data may be reused for constructing time series or as a part of a meta analysis. Open data enhances quality of research. Thus, many research funders request opening of data produced with their funding, including European Union, Academy of Finland and the leading Finnish research foundations. Increasing number of scientific journals request opening of data, on which research reported in them is based.
Most research funders and journals request the data to be opened following the FAIR principles. FAIR data are Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. What does this mean for the research process, from planning to data collection to analysis and finally to publication? Finnish Society of Forest Science organised in August 2023 a half-day hybrid seminar on FAIR opening of research data. During the afternoon, we learned how to make the data findable, how to ensure that they are accessible to other scientists, what is required for data interoperability and how to define which data may be reusable and, thus, are worth long-term preservation. We learned the practical steps for FAIRly opening research data.
The recordings are aimed to all forest and environmental scientists, independently of their career level. Scientists from other fields of study willing to learn more on FAIR opening of research data are equally welcome to view the recordings linked below.

Esityskutsu Metsätieteiden päivään 2023 ”Ilmastonmuutos metsässä” on auki

Metsätieteiden päivä järjestetään nyt 31. kerran Helsingin yliopiston Viikin kampuksella 25.10.2023. Vuoden 2023 Metsätieteiden päivän yleisteema on ”Ilmastonmuutos metsässä”. Tarkoituksemme on käsitellä aihetta ilmasto- ja kasvillisuusmallien tuloksia ja hiilinielukeskustelua laajemmin. Haluamme kiinnittää huomiota ilmastonmuutoksen ja luonnon monimuotoisuuden vuorovaikutuksiin, tulevaisuuden ennustamisen epävarmuustekijöihin, ihmisten ja metsien suhteisiin sekä ilmastonmuutoksen, luontokadon hillinnän ja puuntuotannon synergistisiin ratkaisuihin.
Aamupäivän yhteiskokouksen teemat käsittelevät ilmastonmuutoksen ja luonnon monimuotoisuuden vuorovaikutuksia, ilmastonmuutoksen haasteita metsänhoidolle, vaikutuksia metsäpolitiikkaan, muuttuvia metsäsuhteita ja alkuperäiskansojen elämän edellytyksiä sekä metsäbiotalouden ratkaisuja muuttuvassa ilmastossa.
Aamupäivän yhteiskokouksessa emme nosta esille kaikkia kysymyksiä, emmekä saa kaikkeen vastausta. Siksi iltapäivällä Suomen Metsätieteellisen Seuran tieteenalakerhot järjestävät kuusi rinnakkaiskokousta, joissa ilmastonmuutosta käsitellään metsätieteiden eri osa-alojen näkökulmasta. Onko sinulla uusia tutkimustuloksia aiheesta tai tutkimuksen soveltamisesta käytännön metsätalouteen? Tarjoa esitystäsi viimeistään 25.8.2023 siihen iltapäiväkokoukseen, johon se mielestäsi lähinnä kuuluu. Avaa sinua kiinnostavan rinnakkaiskokouksen sivu lisätietoja varten.

Call for presentations to the Forest Sciences’ Day “Climate change in forests” is open

Forest Sciences’ Day will be organised for the 31st time in the Viikki Campus of the University of Helsinki on 25 October 2023. The general topic of the year 2023 in Forest Sciences’ Day will be “Climate change in forests”. Our intention is to go beyond the climate and vegetation model results and the discussion on forest carbon sinks. We want to pay attention to the interactions between climate change and biological diversity, to the uncertainties in predicting the future, to the human-forest relationships as well as to the synergistic solutions for mitigating climate change and biodiversity loss while producing timber.
The topics of the morning plenary session will deal with the interaction of climate change and biological diversity, challenges of climate change for silviculture, effects on forest policy, changing human-forest relationships and indigenous people, and solutions and limitations of forest bioeconomy in mitigating climate change.
We cannot make all important questions in the plenary, much less answer all of them. The science clubs of the Finnish Society of Forest will organise six parallel sessions in the afternoon. In these sessions, climate change will be discussed from the viewpoints of several subdisciplines of forest sciences. Do you have new research results on the topic or experiences on application of climate science to forest management? Submit a talk proposal to the parallel session that is closest to your topic. Both the morning plenary session and afternoon parallel session will be organised in the hybrid mode, which will enable remote participation for all delegates that want it.

Suomen Metsätieteellinen Seura valmistelee seminaaria ”FAIR opening of research data”. Seminaarissa on tarkoitus käydä läpi tutkijan näkökulmasta miten datan FAIR-avaaminen tapahtuu. Pyrimme vastaamaan konkreetisti kysymykseen ”Miten data avataan?” Seminaarin rakenteeksi on suunniteltu, että avauksen, eli FAIR-yleisesittelyn ja lyhyen motivaatiopuheen mitä hyötyä avoimuudesta on avaajalle, jälkeen käsitellään FAIR-periaatteet kirjain kerrallaan. Jotta avoin data olisi hyödyllistä, sen tulee olla:

I – yhteensopiva
R – uudelleen käytettävä
Seminaari järjestetään hybridinä 22.8.2023 klo 13-16. Fyysinen tilaisuus on Helsingin yliopiston Viikin kampuksella, Metsätieteiden talon salissa 108. Seminaarin kieli on englanti. Kohdeyleisönä ovat etenkin metsäntutkijat, tohtorikoulutettavasti ylöspäin. Professori Timo Vesala Helsingin yliopistosta käyttää alkupuheenvuoron datan avaamisen hyödyistä. Seminar ”FAIR opening of research data” on 22 August 2023
Finnish Society of Forest Science will organise seminar “FAIR opening of research data”. Our aim is to go through the data opening process from a scientist’s viewpoint. We look for concrete answers to the question “How to open data?” The seminar will be composed of a short introduction to FAIR principles, a motivation talk on the benefits of open data for the opener and thereafter we will revise the FAIR principles letter by letter. In order to be useful, the open data must be:
F – findable
A – accessible
I – interoperable
R – reusable
The seminar will be organised in the hybrid format on 22 August 2023 from 13 through 16. The physical event will be in the Viikki Campus of the University of Helsinki, Lecture Room 108 of the Forest Sciences’ Building. The seminar language will be English. The seminar will be useful for all forest scientists, Finnish and international, from doctoral student level upwards. Professor Timo Vesala from the University of Helsinki will give the talk on the benefits of data opening. Other speakers and the seminar programme will be published soon on the website of our Society.

Suomen Metsätieteellisen Seuran opinnäytetyöpalkinnot Lauri Männistölle ja Janne Viljakaiselle
Suomen Metsätieteellisen Seuran jakaa vuosittain opinnäytetyöpalkintoja erinomaisista edellisen vuoden aikana hyväksytyistä metsätieteen tohtorin väitöskirjoista ja pro gradu -töistä. Vuosittain palkitaan harkinnan mukainen määrän opinnäytetöitä tai palkinnot voidaan jättää jakamatta. Tyypillisesti väitöskirjapalkinnon on saanut vuosittain 1-2 vastaväitellyttä tohtoria ja pro gradu -palkinnon 1-3 maisteria. Vuoden 2023 palkinnot julkistettiin Seuran kevätkokouksessa 4.4.2023. Tänä vuonna väitöskirjapalkinto jätettiin jakamatta.
Pro gradu ‑palkinnon saivat MMM Lauri Männistö Helsingin yliopistosta työstään ”Kuusi-koivu-sekametsätaimikoiden rakenne ja kehitys” ja MMM Janne Viljakainen Itä-Suomen yliopistosta työstään ”Metsäkoneiden ajouraverkostojen toteutustapojen luokittelu”. Palkintolautakunta kiinnitti huomiota molempien palkittujen hyvään tutkimusalueensa kirjallisuuden tuntemukseen ja tilastomenetelmien monipuoliseen ja asianmukaiseen käyttöön. Lauri Männistö sai erityismaininnan erinomaisesta suomen kielestä. Janne Viljakainen sai erityismaininnan tulosten raportoinnista toistettavuuden mahdollistavalla tavalla.

Finnish Society of Forest Science awarded the thesis prizes for M.Sc. thesis of Lauri Männistö and Janne Viljakainen
Finnish Society of Forest Science awards annually prizes for excellent doctoral and Master’s theses accepted during the preceding year. The number of awards is not fixed but depends on the quality of the theses proposed in each year. Typically, the Society awards 1-2 prizes for excellent doctoral dissertations and 1-3 prizes for excellent M.Sc. theses. The prizes of 2023 were published in the Spring Meeting of the Society on 4 April 2023. The dissertation prize was not awarded this year.
The prize for an excellent Master’s thesis was awarded to M.Sc. Lauri Männistö from the University of Helsinki for his research “Structure and development of mixed spruce-birch sapling stands” and M.Sc. Janne Viljakainen from the University of Eastern Finland for his research “Classification of carriage road networks of forest machinery”. The Award Committee emphasised good command of research literature and excellent use of statistics by both candidates. Lauri Männistö received a special mention on excellent use of Finnish language and Janne Viljakainen on transparent writing that enables reproduction of the research.

The thesis of Lauri Männistö deals with the structure, spatial arrangement and predicted future development of mixed spruce-birch sapling stands under different precommercial thinning regimes. Lauri Männistö has reviewed thoroughly the earlier research on mixed forests and uses it in an excellent manner for discussing the background of the study and the results. He uses wisely various methods, which indicates excellent data management and analysis skills. Lauri Männistö discusses the results in an analytic and critical manner, showing maturity as a student. Presentation of the results, good Finnish language and careful finalisation of the report form an excellent entity.
Janne Viljakainen, University of Eastern Finland. Metsäkoneiden ajouraverkostojen toteutustapojen luokittelu. [Classification of the building of networks of forest machinery’s carriage paths]
Thesis of Janne Viljakainen belongs to the field of forest engineering. He focuses in the planning and execution of the carriage path networks in mechanised timber harvesting. All parts of the thesis were evaluated as excellent. The background of the study is well described in the introduction section. The materials and methods are well described and the work may be reproduced based on the report. Janne Viljakainen uses statistics in an exceptionally skilful manner. The map presentation for the comparison of the carriage path alternatives is illustrative and clear. Janne Viljakainen discusses critically the materials and results of the study. He knows well the literature related to the study topic and discusses it excellently.

However, PwC has informed that they will be able to conduct the audit in the time frame required for reporting the state publication support. Thus, it is necessary to elect a new auditor. The Board of the Society will make a proposal for the meeting.

Syyskokouksen 1.12.2022 päätöksiä
Seuran syyskokous pidettiin hybridinä 1.12.2022 Tieteiden talossa ja Zoomissa. Tällä kertaa hybridi toimi ihan kohtuullisesti. Kokouksessa hyväksyttiin Seuran toimintasuunnitelma ja talousarvio 2023. Talousarvio on raskaasti alijäämäinen, mutta kokouksessa katsottiin, ettei Seuran ole pitkäjänteisenä sijoittajana syytä lähteä sopeuttamaan toimintaansa yhden heikon sijoitusvuoden takia. Mikäli heikko rahoitustilanne jatkuu, edessä voi olla toiminnan sopeuttamista. Metsätieteiden päivän ajankohta koordinoidaan Suomen metsäyhdistyksen Metsäpäivien kanssa. Seuran julkaisutoimitus valmistelee datan avaamisen vaatimusta Seuran tiedelehdissä vuoden 2024 alusta alkaen. Tähän liittyen järjestetään myös hybridiseminaari tai webinaari tutkimusaineistojen ja ‑datan avaamisen FAIR-periaatteista (findable, accessible, interoperable, reproducible).

The Autumn Meeting of our Society was held in hybrid format in the House of Science and Letters and in Zoom on 1 December 2022. The delegates accepted the Plan of Activities and budget for 2023. The budget is heavily deficient but, according to the meeting decision, the Society does not need to adjust its activities because of a weak year in the financial market as the Society is a long-term investor. If the weak economic situation continues, adjustments may be needed in the future. Timing of the Forest Sciences’ Day will be coordinated with the Forest Days of the Finnish Forest Association. The Editorial Office of the Society will prepare the necessary actions before the journals of the Society will start to request open data and code as a condition for publishing at the beginning of 2024. Connected to this, the Society will organise a hybrid seminar or a webinar on the FAIR principles of opening data and research materials (findable, accessible, interoperable, reproducible).

Avoimuuden edistäjä ‑palkinto Suomen Metsätieteelliselle Seuralle
Suomen Metsätieteelliselle Seuralle myönnettiin Avoimen tieteen ja tutkimuksen talvipäivillä Jyväskylässä 10.11.2022 Avoimuuden edistäjä ‑palkinto metsäntutkimuksen avaamisesta tutkimusyhteisölle ja suurelle yleisölle julkaisusarjoissa ja tapahtumissa. Suomen Metsätieteellinen Seura on edistänyt Jokamiehenoikeutta metsätieteeseen vuodesta 1994 alkaen, jolloin Silva Fennican artikkelitiivistelmien julkaiseminen avoimena Internetissä aloitettiin. Sittemmin avoimesta tiivistelmäjulkaisemisesta on tullut tiedelehtien valtavirtaa. Vuonna 1998 avoimuus laajennettiin koko artikkeleihin, jotka tulivat Silva Fennicassa vapaasti luettaviksi yhtenä ensimmäisistä kansainvälisistä tiedelehdistä. Suomenkielisessä Metsätieteen aikakauskirjassa toteutettiin samaa politikkaa. Vuonna 2005 Seura alkoi julkaista yhteistyössä Helsingin ja Joensuun yliopistojen kanssa väitöskirjasarja Dissertationes Forestalesia, jossa julkaistaan suomalaisten metsätieteiden väitöskirjojen yhteenveto-osat avoimena verkossa.
Seuran varhainen avoimuuspolitiikka oli suurelta osin Seuran tiedelehtien pitkäaikaisen päätoimittajan Eeva Korpilahden ansiota. Hän ymmärsi avoimen julkaisemisen edut tutkimustiedon saatavuudelle ja leviämiselle vuosia ennen Budapestin avoimen julkaisemisen aloitetta, joka toi avoimuuden, aluksi käsitteenä Open Access, yleiseksi puheenaiheeksi tiedeyhteisössä ja julkaisutoiminnassa.
Contributor to Open Science Prize for Finnish Society of Forest Science
Contributor of Open Science Prize was awarded to Finnish Society of Forest Science in the Finnish Open Science Winter Conference in November 2022 for opening forest research for scientists and public at large in open access journals and science events. Finnish Society of Forest Science has promoted the Everyone’s Right to Forest Science since 1994 when open access publishing of Silva Fennica’s abstracts was initiated in the Internet. Later, openness of abstracts has become main stream in scientific journals. In 1998, the openness was extended to whole text articles of Silva Fennica as one of the first international scientific journals. The Finnish language Metsätieteen aikakauskirja has followed the same policy. The Society has published the monograph series Dissertationes Forestales in cooperation with the University of Helsinki and the University of Eastern Finland since 2005. The series publishes Finnish doctoral theses open in the Internet.
The early openness policy of the Society was developed by our visionary long-time Editor-in-Chief, Dr Eeva Korpilahti. She understood the value of openness for access to and distribution of research-based knowledge years before the Budapest Manifest that brought openness, initially as open access, to the general discussion in the research and publishing communities.

Suomen Metsätieteellinen Seura toimii Suomen metsätieteellisen tutkimustyön hyväksi. Tarkoituksen toteuttamiseksi Seura myöntää hallinnassaan olevien rahastojen tuotoista apurahoja metsätiedettä edistäviin tarkoituksiin: tutkimusapurahoja, matka-apurahoja, apurahoja muuhun kansainväliseen toimintaan, kieliopintoihin ja muihin metsätiedettä edistäviin toimintoihin.

Finnish Society of Forest Science promotes forest research in Finland. As a means to reach this goal, the Society awards grants for research, travel that supports research or post-graduate studies, other international activities, language studies, and other purposes that advance forest sciences.
The application for the grants will open on 16 January and close on 17 February 2023 at 16:00. Apply the grant using the electronic grant application system: https://metsatieteellinenseura.apurahat.net/login.aspx?lcid=1033. Link to system will be activated at the opening of the application period.

Kommentoi metsähydrologia ja -ojitus ‑sanastoa lausunto.fi-palvelussa
Ammattisanastosta on hyötyä metsäalan viestinnässä ja myös alan tietojärjestelmien sekä tietopalveluiden kehittämistyössä. Suomen metsäkeskus vetää laajaa sanastotyötä, jossa koostetaan metsäalan keskeinen ammattisanasto. Hankkeen tuloksena on nyt valmistunut Metsähydrologia ja metsäojitus -sanasto, jota voi kommentoida oikeusministeriön Lausuntopalvelu.fi-palvelussa.
Metsähydrologia ja metsäojitus -sanasto sisältää termimääritykset 181 veteen ja ojitukseen liittyvälle keskeiselle käsitteelle. Suomen kielen rinnalla termimääritykset julkaistaan myös ruotsiksi ja englanniksi. Tämän lisäksi sanastossa ovat mukana myös ruotsin-, englannin- ja venäjänkieliset termivastineet.
Metsäkeskus kutsuu metsäalan ammattilaisia kommentoimaan sanastoehdotusta Lausuntopalvelu.fi-palvelussa. Sanaston kommentointi on mahdollista yleisesti koko sanaston tasolla, yksittäisen käsitekokonaisuuden tai yhden käsitteen termitietojen tasolla. Metsähydrologia ja metsäojitus -sanastoluonnosta voi kommentoida 27.1.2023 asti. Suomen Metsätieteellinen Seura kehottaa jäseniään osallistumaan tämän tärkeän työn kommentointiin. Metsäalan sanastotyö -hanke järjestää keskiviikkona 11.1.2023 klo 9.00–10.30 info- ja keskustelutilaisuuden sanastoehdotuksen sisällöstä. Tilaisuudessa aluksi esitellään lyhyesti Metsäalan sanastotyö -hanketta sekä Metsähydrologia ja ‑ojitus – sanastoehdotusta. Editor-in-Chief of Silva Fennica, Prof. Matti Maltamo, received the Contributor to Open Science Prize on behalf of the Finnish Society of Forest Science in the Finnish Open Science Winter Conference in 10 November 2022.
Contributor of Open Science Prize was awarded to Finnish Society of Forest Science in the Finnish Open Science Winter Conference in November 2022 for opening forest research for scientists and public at large in open access journals and science events. Finnish Society of Forest Science has promoted the Everyone’s Right to Forest Science since 1994 when open access publishing of Silva Fennica’s abstracts was initiated in the Internet. Later, openness of abstracts has become main stream in scientific journals. In 1998, the openness was extended to whole text articles of Silva Fennica as one of the first international scientific journals. The Finnish language Metsätieteen aikakauskirja has followed the same policy. The Society has published the monograph series Dissertationes Forestales in cooperation with the University of Helsinki and the University of Eastern Finland since 2005. The series publishes Finnish doctoral theses open in the Internet.
The early openness policy of the Society was developed by our visionary long-time Editor-in-Chief, Dr Eeva Korpilahti. She understood the value of openness for access to and distribution of research-based knowledge years before the Budapest Manifest that brought openness, initially as open access, to the general discussion in the research and publishing communities.

Autumn meeting of the Finnish Society of Forest Science will be held on Thursday 1 December 2022 at 15:30 in Room 505 of the House of Sciences and Letters (Tieteiden talo, Kirkkokatu 6, Helsinki). The meeting is open for all ordinary and honorary members of the Society, and to the representatives of supporting members who must present an authorisation from the supporting member. Remote participation will be possible by registering through this link at latest on 29 November 2022:

Forest Sciences’ Day will be organised for the 30th time on 26 October 2022 in the Viikki Campus of the University of Helsinki. The Day was organised for the first time in 1984 in connection to the 75th anniversary of the Finnish Society of Forest Science. Since 1995, the Day was organised annually under the name Forest Science Day. We will recover the name in plural, Forest Sciences’ Day, now on the occasion of the 30th event for emphasising the multidisciplinary nature of forest sciences.
The topic of the year 2022 will be “Measurement and valuation of biological diversity”. Diversity of forests forms the interconnected fabric of life that supports their functions. The fabric of life enables the functioning of forest ecosystems, resilience to disturbances, adaptation to environmental changes and sustainable timber production. In the Forest Sciences’ Day we will review if all nodes in the fabric of life are equally important. We will ask how much the fabric of life may be disturbed before it cannot support the life of a forest. We will evaluate if people can repair the fabric of life by means of nature management. We will have a look on the methods for measuring these phenomena. Above all, we will ask what is the value of the forest diversity for the nature, economy and society. During the morning, we will have a plenary session, in which the best experts of diversity science will answer to these and other questions.

Thus, the science clubs of the Finnish Society of Forest Science will organise six parallel sessions in the afternoon. The parallel sessions will provide the view points of ecology, silviculture, management planning, economics, logistics and social sciences and humanities to the value of biological diversity of forests.
Both the morning plenary session and afternoon parallel session will be organised in hybrid mode, which will enable remote participation all delegates that want it.

Metsätieteiden päivä järjestetään 30. kerran 26.10.2022 Helsingin yliopiston Viikin kampuksella. Päivä järjestettiin ensimmäisen kerran Suomen Metsätieteellisen Seuran 75-vuotisjuhlien yhteydessä vuonna 1984 ja vuodesta 1995 alkaen tilaisuus oli vuosittainen nimellä Metsätieteen päivä. Nyt 30. kerralla palautamme monikollisen nimen Metsätieteiden päivä korostaaksemme metsäntutkimuksen monitieteistä luonnetta.
Vuoden 2022 teema on ”Monimuotoisuuden mittaaminen ja arvottaminen”. Metsien monimuotoisuus muodostaa niiden toimintaa tukevan, yhteenliittyneen elämän verkon. Tämä verkko mahdollistaa metsäekosysteemien toiminnan, toipumisen häiriöistä, sopeutumisen muuttuvaan ympäristöön ja kestävän puuntuotannon. Metsätieteiden päivässä pohdimme ovatko kaikki elämän verkon solmut yhtä tärkeitä. Kysymme kuinka ”repaleisena” verkko vielä kannattelee metsän elämää. Arvioimme voiko ihminen luonnonhoidon keinoin paikata elämän verkkoa. Tarkastelemme miten näitä ilmiöitä voidaan mitata. Ennen kaikkea esitämme kysymyksen mikä on monimuotoisuuden arvo luonnolle, taloudelle ja yhteiskunnalle. Aamupäivän yhteiskokouksessa emme nosta esille kaikkia kysymyksiä, emmekä saa kaikkeen vastausta. Siksi lounaan jälkeen Suomen Metsätieteellisen Seuran tieteenalakerhot järjestävät kuusi rinnakkaiskokousta, joissa on metsien monimuotoisuutta tarkastellaan ekologian, metsänhoidon, mittaamisen ja suunnittelun, taloustieteen, logistiikan ja ihmistieteiden näkökulmista. Plenary speakers
We cannot make all important questions in the plenary, much less answer to all of them. Thus, the science clubs of the Finnish Society of Forest Science will organise six parallel sessions in the afternoon. The parallel sessions will provide the view points of ecology, silviculture, management planning, economics, logistics and social sciences and humanities to the value of the biological diversity of the forests. By the end of the afternoon, we will have an informal common gathering, in which we will award the honours of the Finnish Society of Forest Science to outstanding forest scientists and see a photo presentation on the excursion of our Society to Estonia at the beginning of September. The Day will end to our popular buffet, which will provide a forum for lively discussions on forest sciences – after two years of webinars.

Suomalaisten metsäsuhteita ja niiden muutosta on tutkittu Metsämiesten Säätiön rahoittamassa Metsäsuhteet yhteiskunnallisessa muutoksessa -tutkimushankkeessa (2019 – 2022). Tutkimushankkeessa on edistetty metsäsuhteiden tunnistamista ja ymmärtämistä ja vahvistettu metsäsuhdetutkimusta.
Metsäsuhteet osana suomalaista metsäkulttuuria vaikuttavat metsiä koskevaan päätöksentekoon ja metsien erilaisiin käyttötapoihin sekä siten koko yhteiskuntaan. Tutkittu tieto lisää ymmärrystä metsäsuhteista ja niiden vaikutuksesta yksilöissä, yhteisöissä ja yhteiskunnassa.
Hankkeen väitöskirjatutkija YTM, metsätalousinsinööri Tuulikki Halla tarkastelee ammatillisia metsäsuhteita ja väitöskirjatutkija FM Reetta Karhunkorva metsänomistajien metsäsuhteita. Tutkimushankkeen johtaja dosentti Jaana Laine esittelee Suhteeni metsään -kirjoituskeruun tuloksia.
Tutkimushankkeessa kerättiin kattava, 87 haastattelua ja 309 kirjoitusta sisältävä tutkimusaineisto. Aineisto avaa laajan kirjon metsäammattilaisten, metsänomistajien ja laajemminkin suomalaisten metsäsuhteisiin sekä niissä vaikuttaviin tunteisiin, muistoihin ja kehollisiin kokemuksiin.
Metsäsuhteet yhteiskunnallisessa muutoksessa -keskustelutilaisuudessa pohditaan ja keskustellaan tutkimusten perusteella suomalaisista metsäsuhteista. Tervetuloa mukaan!
