Application of grants of the Finnish Society of Forest Science is open from 22 Jan through 16 Feb 2024
Finnish Society of Forest Science promotes forest research in Finland. As a means to reach this goal, the Society awards grants for research, travel that supports research or post-graduate studies, other international activities, language studies, and other purposes that advance forest sciences.
The application for the grants will open on 22 January and close on 16 February 2024 at 16:00. The applications will be submitted using the new electronic grant application system (https://metsatieteellinenseura.apurahat.net/login.aspx?lcid=1033). Link to system will be activated at the opening of the application period.
We kindly request you to read carefully the grant instructions on the web site of the Finnish Society of Forest Science. Please, note that the research plan for a research grant application must be written in the application form following the format given in the instructions.
Decision on the grants will be made by mid-March. We will notify grantees personally. We will publish the grants in the Spring meeting of the Finnish Society of Forest Science on 4 April 2024. You may start using your grant from 1 May 2024.
Ukrainian forest scientist affiliated to a Finnish research organisation or pursuing doctoral studies in a Finnish university are encouraged to apply.
Make your application for a IUFRO grant directly to Metsämiesten säätiö
The cooperation of the Finnish Society of Forest Science with the foundation Metsämiesten säätiö on grants for IUFRO activities has ended. All application for grants for IUFRO activities must be made directly to Metsämiesten säätiö. The foundation receives applications from 1 December 2023 through 31 January 2024 (instructions in Finnish):

Webinar on grant applications
