#Metsätiede2025

Afternoon parallel session of the Technology Club

Decisions in wood procurement are increasingly multi-directional and multi-dimensional. Throughout the wood procurement value chain, we need to take into account the environment, energy efficiency, worker welfare and resourcing, as well as the management of production factors in a rapidly changing environment. Information system development, advances in positioning accuracy, open data, artificial intelligence and new data sources offer opportunities to meet the increased demands.

The Forest Technology Club’s afternoon session invites presentations that are related to the different stages of wood procurement and that include new solutions, methods, and/or data to improve wood procurement and its different layers. In your presentation, you can offer results of completed research or preliminary results from your ongoing research.
